ON CLOUD 9 AT MOMBASA PORT
Kenya port authority is the heart of Mombasa glory,it was established in January 1978 under an Act of Parliament;to mandate and operate the port of Mombasa and all scheduled seaports along Kenya's coastline.
The port's agency without delay has began an in- house reorganisation by deploying more workers in affected departments to ensure efficiency of work after the directive by president of Kenya Samoei William Ruto on revertion of the port back to Mombasa.
Five years is not a joke , since 2018 Mombasa has watched it's legacy in economy diminish at the site of Naivasha SGR reign. The Naivasha port via SGR was put in place by former president Uhuru Kenyatta with the aim to speed up cargo across the country.Congestion indeed was reduced at Mombasa port but the coastal people benefited lest of this turn out of events.
Container freight stations economy was affected, shippers and transporters lost their jobs, crime was rampant , tourism declined, hotel and business shutdown and more fateful stories evolved.
Believe me when I say at cloud nine in Mombasa port, we the Mombasa residents can testify. The port is back where it belongs and this entails:
✓job opportunities , investment opportunities
✓market expansion
✓reduction in crime
✓development of infrastructure
✓promotion of tourism.
The county of Mombasa envisions better days as it spakles In the return of it's largest economic stimuli.
