ECONOMIC GLORY

Have you noticed the agony that the busy streets across the globe face? Crowds upon crowds trod down upon it mercilessly in quest to reach their destination. Majority of these offenders to the beaten badly Mr. Road are the youths. They are professionally dressed to attend an interview with expectation of been hired after a series of job applications in every office they come across. The other portion on this move are those who’ve made a decision to initiate the culture of self-reliance rather than education dependency to succeed in life. Statistics shows that many of the second group are now among the world list of most successful persons. Pardon me I did not say education does not guarantee achievement, it does!
In Kenya persons like Simon Kabu, the founder and chief executive officer of Bonfire Adventures built the travel and tour company from scratch, by working as a matatu tout and later a driver. Lorna Rutto founder of Eco post a firm that collects and recycles plastic waste, quit her job as banker to manufacture fencing posts from recycled matter. Martha Otieno with a leased land grew tomatoes and watermelons and has now become a millionaire employer in western. Athletes like Ezekiel Kemboi, Eliud Kipchoge, and Julius Yego made it through their talents.
Youth's in Kenya ought to engage in as such economic success by venturing into sectors like enterprenual activities, agriculture and monetizing their talents. Enterprenual fields will encourage innovation and invention of new technology in return earning productivity .Prosperity of these businesses and the high rate of taxation pounded upon them will stimulate the country’s growth. Exports from agricultural produce and investment in agro produce will prove a great deal in sustaining a nation and it’s indigenous. The presence of digitization is another forum for youths to engage into online jobs (Ajira platform), starting small business, providing consultancy services and more to this list.

There's is no room for youths wail that lack of jobs is the cause for a derailed economy. Timothy Ferriss author of the 4-hour workweek says, “Money is multiplied in practical value depending on the number of w’s you control in your life; what you do, when you do it, where you do it and with whom you do it.” Everyday opportunities are laid out by the maker, we just have to maintain a positive mindset and with perseverance build on that seems like little gem until it turns to a gold mine. We do need the government to enrich us where possible and together ascend the heights of economic glory.
